About Countertop Installation

A countertop is the most visible and most used surface in your kitchen, so precision matters at every stage. Our installation process starts with laser templating directly on your assembled cabinets, capturing every angle, notch, and cutout location down to the millimeter. This template-first approach eliminates guesswork and ensures your countertop fits perfectly on the first attempt.

We install all major countertop materials, including IKEA laminate (SÄLJAN, EKBACKEN), solid wood butcher block (KARLBY, PINNARP), and aftermarket quartz and engineered stone. Each material has unique requirements — laminate needs clean saw cuts and moisture-sealed edges, butcher block requires expansion gaps and proper oiling, and quartz demands diamond-polished seams and calibrated support spans.

Sink and cooktop cutouts are where many countertop installations fall short. We use plunge routers and diamond-blade saws to create clean, chip-free openings with radiused corners that prevent stress cracks. Every cutout edge is sealed or polished to protect against moisture infiltration.

For L-shaped and U-shaped kitchens — common in the classic New England colonials and Capes found throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island — seam placement is critical to both appearance and structural integrity. We position seams at the least conspicuous point and use color-matched adhesives and mechanical fasteners underneath to create a joint that is virtually invisible and completely rigid.

Once installed, we level the entire surface, apply any required sealants, and test the fit of your sink and cooktop. Whether your kitchen is in a Cambridge triple-decker, a Providence Victorian, or a new-construction home in Glastonbury, the result is a countertop that looks built-in, feels solid, and performs flawlessly for years.

How It Works

1

On-Site Templating

After cabinets are installed, we laser-template your countertop layout, capturing exact dimensions, angles, and cutout positions for sinks and cooktops.

2

Fabrication & Preparation

Countertops are cut and edged in a controlled environment using material-specific tools. Seam locations are planned for minimal visibility.

3

Dry Fit & Adjustment

We position the countertop on your cabinets, verify fit, and make any fine adjustments to ensure level contact and proper overhang.

4

Secure, Seal & Finish

The countertop is fastened to the cabinets, seams are bonded with color-matched adhesive, cutout edges are sealed, and the surface is polished clean.

5

Quality Verification

We check level across the full surface, test sink and cooktop fitment, and confirm that all edges and seams meet our quality standard before signing off.
